RUTH is a Malmö-based trio pushing the boundaries between spiritual jazz and global rhythms. The collective brings together three distinct musical voices: Ask Håkenstad's Monk-influenced jazz sensibilities, Emil Lindén's deep knowledge of roots reggae, and Gerard Rodan's love for Ambient and Tropicália.
After cutting their teeth in the Swedish punk outfit KNUFF and backing Danish R&B artist Allen Anjeh, Ruth has emerged with their own vision—one that marries DIY energy with infectious rhythms, and musical mysticism.
